- Junior / Trainee Marine Account Handler
Experience in any aspect of commercial insurance, personal lines and/or claims would be advantageous but not essential.
Work involves dealing with the clients day to day, answering phone enquiries /dealing with emails, MTA’s, Renewals, preparing and collating reports for clients, negotiating and collating renewal terms and new business quotes. Sometimes face to face contact with the clients, Involved in surveys and meetings where appropriate.
Willing to progress and be trained, further opportunities and development for the right candidate within a growing company
Open to exams/CII progression or continue that journey
Ideally with college/uni background but not essential
Ideally experience with Acturis.
Candidate must be a team player and willing to get stuck in at a busy office
Be organised, confident, multi tasker, efficient, work under pressure, good on the phone, personable, confident and customer focused
Account Handler servicing a range of UK clients marine and freight insurance policies ranging from SME cases involving sole contact with the client to cases looked after by Account Executives ie commercial / corporate size.
Preparing slips, endorsements and cover notes for international risks that we place into Lloyds
Administering our online Freightcover platform dealing with day to day enquiries and issuance of marine certificates
Support the Line Management to improve the functionality and efficiencies of the department to ensure clients are treated fairly at all times
Continue with personal development to ensure compliance with FCA rules and maximise development opportunities that the company may offer
Complete the required training plan via Broker Assess/other platforms to comply with company rules and importantly support own development plan
Training provided to develop an understanding of the core products offered by the marine department
